The Smile Train is dedicated to helping the millions of children in the world who suffer from cleft lip and palate by providing free surgery for children, free training for doctors and research to find a cure.

Since 1999, we have provided free cleft surgery for more than 250,000 children who could not afford it. We have helped support hundreds of cleft treatment, education and training programs in 71 countries.

At the heart of all of our programs is the fundamental belief that local doctors can be empowered to help the children of their communities.

Cleft surgery can be provided by The Smile Train for as little as $250.

100% of all donations made to the Smile Train go to programs that help children and 0% to overhead. That is because all non-program expenses, such as overhead and fundraising, are paid for with start-up grants from our founding supporters.

The Smile Train is a 501 C 3 non profit recognized by the IRS and all donations to The Smile Train are tax deductible.
